Custom Framing

The process of selecting the best framing, mating, and glazing needs for your art objects is a collaborative endeavor.

Custom Picture Framing

We embrace traditional framing methods as well as state-of-the-art techniques and technologies, providing you with the most robust framing expertise and options that ensure each piece is treated with the care and attention it deserves.

Museum Quality Framing

For those special items that require, or deserve, the greatest protection and presentation, advanced framing materials can be used to preserve, protect, and present your prized objects at museum standards. Use of museum quality glass and acrylic, in conjunction with acid free materials, and hand-made artesian frames, assure that your valuable art and objects are protected and preserved.

Sports Memorabilia Framing

From signed jerseys to baseball gloves, tennis rackets, golf clubs, and more, we can frame and present it to make it look even better. Whatever you can imagine, or whatever you need – we can frame it.

Large Object Framing

Have something very large you’d like to have framed? No problem. Our professionals are experienced at handling a diverse range of objects and welcome working with you to find the perfect solution. We custom build frames and presentations that will compliment and fit just about anything.

Conservation Framing

The use of archival materials is fundamental to preserving and protecting your precious and valuable art objects. Whether it’s your child’s latest finger painting, family memorabilia, a signed & numbered limited edition print, heirloom or heritage piece, or a one of kind original, we treat each piece with the utmost care & professionalism by preserving your work with visual integrity and longevity.

Canvas Stretching

If it’s on canvas (or other various fabrics), we can stretch and mount it. An oil or acrylic painting, a Giclée print, an original or any art that was created on canvas, we take it and carefully stretch it out and mount it for presentation. We even stretch raw canvases for on which you can create your own unique personal expression.

Dry Mounting

Dry mounting is a great and economical option for permanently flattening, mounting, and displaying posters, photographs, and other paper art on a lightweight rigid substrate such as foamcore or gatorboard. (Note: dry mounting is not recommended as a method for mounting one of kind images, limited editions, or other imagery that would be difficult to replace.)

Why Custom Frame

Custom framing can be a daunting and intimidating process, but it doesn’t have to be. Here we will lay out the reasons to custom frame and the steps you will take to achieve the ideal framing for your pieces.

Achieve a Finished Look

Often times you will receive a gift or purchase a piece of art that isn’t quite finished. There is no wire or glass, you have loose paper, unstretched canvas, or a piece that was rolled and crinkled in transit. Custom framing can finish these subtle touches and make your work displayable. Mounting and removing rolls or crinks will make a poster more enjoyable to the viewer. A tile on the wall has a free and natural look, but a shadowboxed tile with fabric matting, a complimentary frame, and under glass can look like a museum artifact on display. Explore various options with us to achieve a finished look.

Add Dimension

Occasionally a collector or client will find the perfect piece for a space … if it was only a little bigger… Custom framing is a clever and creative way to add dimension to your cherished items, creating a larger visual footprint on the wall. Increasing the size can be accomplished through matting, liners, frames, double frames, or a combination of these options.

Add Your Own Personal Touch

Break free from the cookie cutter, spoon fed and unoriginal – be creative and unique while designing signature framed pieces exclusive to your collection. Your concepts can become a reality through custom framing.

Selection

Custom framing allows for a much larger and tailored selection to present your precious items. Commercially produced art and frames are limited in style, finish, size, and overall selection; they are also mass produced, making them common and uninteresting. A wide selection of custom frames allows you to better match your art, your décor, and your personal style.

Advice from a Professional

You know what you like, and you collect what you love. But sometimes you are too close to be objective. Lean on our professional custom frame designers to advise and help direct you towards the perfect presentation. We will listen to your parameters and work with you, finding your aesthetic to showcase pieces and realize your vision.

Fit your Décor

One size does not fit all. You have your style and décor but pieces you discover and fall in love with aren’t always framed in a way that agrees with your sensibility. Through custom framing you can transition pieces into your curated spaces, reflecting your existing trends. It’s the designer look!

Odd Sizes

You love what you love and that doesn’t always fit into a standard size. Panoramic, extremely vertical, odd proportions, and odd shapes – sometimes there is no other option to display your piece properly – custom framing is the answer.

Odd Spaces

Our homes and commercial spaces can create unique challenges with odd shaped walls, corridors, panels and transoms. Oftentimes these spaces are so prominent they are calling for a visual anchor. Custom framing affords you the ability to tailor a piece to fit your space while reflecting your personal style.

Protect and Preserve your Art

Family artifacts, precious heirlooms, historical documents, one-of-a-kind objects, fine art pieces, fragile or brittle significant paper pieces, and many more irreplaceable items call for preservation or Museum framing. Not only does the proper framing techniques and materials persevere your beloved pieces but they actually help to retard inherent acidity in your pieces to help stabilize and slow further degradation. Protect your pieces for future generations.

Giclée Art Printing

Exceptional, high-fidelity art prints - whether two dimensional (flat) or multi-dimensional (includes the actual texture and relief of the original artwork) – look and feel remarkable, are more valuable, and last longer.

High Resolution Giclée Printing

We proudly offer vibrant, high quality Giclée prints to all artists and people alike. Prints are created on archival papers or canvas, up to 60” wide. They are then sealed with protection to last up to 200 years.

Multidimensional, Textured Printing

UV flatbed textured printing allows for the creation of the most detailed and credible replicas of artwork the world has ever seen. (With the possible exception of a talented forgery artist). The authentic raised surface of a multi-dimensional Giclée art print makes it look and feel exactly like a real painting or textured artwork. The technology allows artists to offer high-fidelity replicas and limited-editions that look and feel identical to the original.

Substrates and Surfaces

Common substrates for rolled printing include archival papers and canvases. Flatbed prints are created on ACM (aluminum composite material) such as Dibond, with possibilities of the unusual such as acrylic, wood, foamcore, glass, and aluminum.

Example of Textured Prints:

This is a multidimensional textured print we recently did for an Idaho artist.

We can texture print on:

  • Wood
  • DiBond
  • Acrylic
  • Foamcore
  • Glass
  • Aluminium

Hi-Res Art Scanning

If the scan is compromised or not high quality, the print will never be as good. We have world-class image scanners that capture every color, detail, and nuance of any artwork, including the X, Y, and Z axes of the original’s paint, ink, or mixed media.

Scanning

A scan is the most vital step in reproducing a picture or painting. The Metis scanner is one the best on the market, offering incredible clarity, color, and overall representation. We can adjust resolution to your specific needs whether that is to replicate on a 1:1 scale, or to blow up several times the initial size without losing clarity.

Multidimensional Scanning

Capture the highest resolution images and obtain accurately portrayed textures of any artifact or painting with our Metis scanner. The flatbed scanner offers captures up to 1200 PPI and can create a height map to 3D render and print works topographically with our UV Flatbed printer.
